     -- Briefing and orientation session:

             o     Welcome by AMIDEAST Morocco Country Director

             o     Safety and security briefing

             o     Distribute written materials, emergency phone numbers, host family information

             o     Host family orientation

             o     Distribute cell phones

             o     Depart to host family homes

     -- Dinner with host families

Monday, January 2

     -- 9:00am: Survival Moroccan Arabic

     -- 11:00am: Lecture: Islam, Reform and its Political Structures in Morocco - Overview (Dr. Mohamed Ezroura)

     -- 1:30pm: Lunch with home-stay families

     -- 5:30pm: Walking tour of the Medina with Moroccan university students

Tuesday, January 3

     -- 9:00am: Survival Moroccan Arabic

     -- 11:30am: Lecture: The Political Process in Morocco (Dr. Monjib)

     -- 1:00pm: Group reflection and dialogue with Professor Afzal

     -- 1:30pm: Lunch with home-stay families

     -- 12:00pm: Lunch at “Association Solidarité Feminine” with Aicha Ech-Channa

     -- 2:00pm: Depart from Casablanca to Marrakech

     -- 6:00pm: Arrive to Marrakech and settle into hotel

     -- 6:30pm: Group reflection and dialogue with Professor Afzal

     -- Evening free to explore the city

     -- 12:30pm: Lunch

     -- 2:00pm: Depart for Women’s collective: Tigemmy and Association Ennakhil

     -- 6:00pm: Return to hotel then evening free

Monday, January 16

     -- Day free for exploring Marrakech

     -- 5:00pm: Depart for Rabat

     -- 9:00pm: Arrive in Rabat and return to home-stay families

     -- 11:30am: Final reflection and dialogue

     -- 1:00pm: Lunch with home-stay families

     -- 2:30pm: Gathering for mint tea in Kasba Café / Souvenir shopping in small groups in the medina market then packing

     -- Farewell dinner with Gnaoua music and henna tattoos

     -- Transfer to the airport and fly back to US
